You need to understand that you can hear street
noise
eg sirens at all times of the night.

It is very quite, and you do not hear the
noise
from Times Square or the streets below, just the usual NYC sirens from the police, ambulance and fire.

The only
noise
that we had was a noisy neighbour on one night, which was quickly fixed by hotel staff, and then one morning we woke up when the
noise
was very loud outside.

Also a bit less street
noise
, but we slept with the window cracked to keep more air moving through the room, so some street
noise
was unavoidable.

They apologized in advance for any
noise
we might hear, but the hotel is either well soundproofed or they were a very quiet family.

We had to change rooms 3/4 times before we found one that we were happy with either due to adjoining door,
noise
or just plain tiny.
