1. We also ate at the Pineapple grill for our anniversary, this was the only place I was disappointed in unfortunately, mainly because I wanted al fresco dining and this felt more like a country club all inclosed.

4. We didn't eat at any hotel restaurants, but I would highly recommend Pineapple Grill (though I was disappointed and slighlty confused they had no al fresco dining) and Merriman's.

I am disappointed to read that several couples - who I presume based on their comments and other postings on this site are straight couples - visiting around the same time we were there were 'surprised' with substantial room upgrades when checking in, even though they were not there celebrating any special anniversary.
