1. I was skeptical about staying there because although at one time the hotel was quite grand, it had fallen into disrepair over the years and had a horrible reputation in the 1980's.

4. The fact that the pool was always freezing, turndown appeared on 2 of the 4 nights, glasses were left dirty in the room by housekeeping from one night to the other, concierge lady sent us to a closed and creepy sushi restaurant one night and internet was very slow add to the already horrible room and staff with an attitude.
