1. We could hear outside traffic noise even though we were on the 5th floor but there was little noise from the interior of the hotel.

9. The downsides are relatively small rooms and bathrooms (at least in the 'superior' rooms), somewhat worn and dirty carpet, and significant noise from adjoining rooms and from the street outside.
