3. The hotel is in a fantastic location as you would expect and I have nothing negative to report - I equally don't have anything to shout from the roof tops from as we had no call to speak with staff and spent most of the time dragging our feet around the City.

4. We spent some time wandering around the rest of the building, marvelling at what it must have been like in it's heyday, because it's by no means shabby now, despite all the negative reviews that caused us concern before we went.

6. Would we would stay there again? Yes we would as the positive aspects outnumbered the negative ones, and the staff made our stay very enjoyable.

7. You may however be surprised, as we were, to read so many negative trip advisor reviews about rooms in a hotel which has hosted events for every US President since its opening, and has had numerous famous celebrities live there.

9. One negative would be there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms and not even a bottle of water to be had.
