2. As a former New Yorker I did find it quite annoying to exit the hotel and step right into the mess that is central mid-town which I used to avoid like the plague as a resident.

5. My wife and I had some time off and decided to spend 5 days in one of our favourite cities after our Paris plans got messed up.

6. As we did our usual under-the-bed check, we noticed a huge mess of garbage, pills, tags, and dirt that has not been cleaned in a LONG time.

7. They did not have laundry services, front desk service staff were very very very (i can't stress enough) rude and had a lackadaisical attitude, they messed up my bills etcI got my queries and requests settled only by speaking to the general manager of the hotel (general manager mind you).

9. At first we were a bit concerned about being in the Times Square throng, but this hotel was just far enough north ( with super convenient subway stop ) that you can avoid the tourist trap mess entirely.
