When we got there we had to do about a 40 min line to check into our rooms, it took about ten to fifteen minutes for the elevators to come to the lobby since most of them were

We called up the hotel maintenance man and he told us it had been

a while and the hotel most likely new, but just wouldnt fix it.

That wasn't too bad, but the fact that our air was
broken
during the hottest day of the NYC heatwave and we were told we had to wait until the next day to move rooms.

and they did not have another 'in-room' safe to replace it.
