1. You probably hoped that forcing people to the free wifi in the lobby would bring in big bucks from the alcohol and food purchased there.

3. The plus side is that it is directly across the street from Rosie O'Grady's restaurant, which is a nicely appointed Irish Pub, with very good but very basic food.

5. ]There are numerous restaurants around the hotel but our great favourite was the fixed menu at Petrossian 7th and 59th for wonderful food and special decor where mirrors are used to great effect.

6. Staffer Kesa Bajamunde went above & beyond in helping me with food and logistics planning and even upgraded us to a beautiful penthouse suite when it became evident that the junior suite I'd reserved wouldn't be big enough for the RSVPs we received.

8. There is also a restaurant/deli/grocery out the side door of the hotel and on the same block that was much more reasonable but, again, lacking charm, but reasonable food and reasonable prices (for New York).
