1. The room is standard - modern look, flat screen LG tv mounted on the wall, 2 double beds w/ clean linens/sheets, nice down pillows, mini bar (fee), coffee maker, safe, dresser, alarm clock, etc. The bathroom does not look like it was renovated as much as the rest of the room.

4. I pricelined the room however so I did not pay full price ( paid $130 plus tax and fees = 315 for two nights) so based on location ( just off Times Square on 7th avenue) it was a great deal.

5. She originally was going to put us on the 9th floor but after reading all the reviews about getting an renovated room I asked her if we could have a renovated room instead and yes I did have to pay the $40 upgrade fee, but we got a great room on the 40th floor.

6. They have the most impressive gym I have ever seen in a hotel ( but there is an extra fee!).

7. Based on some of the rior reviews I read and photos of the older rooms, I paid the upgrade fee of $40 per night.
