1. The floor we were on was dark, the renovations were shabby at best with uneven skirting boards (that were embarrassingly rough and unfinished in appearance) as well as marks all over the newly painted walls.

4. I think that if you're going to make excuses about the hotel being shabby due to a major renovation, you should drop your prices in the meantime and offer free amenities such as wireless access, internet, breakfast vouchers, etc.

8. The hotel is definitely shabby, but you simply CANNOT BEAT the location - Times Square and all major theatres are very close to it, with transit around the corner.
