1. Where to start?I had read a few negative reviews on this hotel before arriving which were dated prior to the newly renovated rooms; because the price was so reasonable for the location to Times Square I was willing to take a chance- Im not too sure it paid off.

2. The choice of decor for the rooms will help prevent them from becoming quickly dated and I love the idea that the bed do NOT have bedspreads or comforters - a real breeding ground for who knows what.

3. I know NYC hotels aren't cheap but despite paying about $180 per night for a tiny, grimy, dated room it was very galling to be greeted by a rude woman on reception telling us 'we are enjoying the cheap rates now but this won't last after the refurbishment'.

8. The room was dated and the decor wasn't the best, but it was clean with the bedding changed each day along with the bathroom towels.

9. The rooms themselves were dated, wallpaper was lifting and there was a lot of years worth of pain on the door jams and doors, but the bedding was clean (the first thing I inspected), there were plenty of towels (they were also clean), there was always new soap and shampoo etc on a daily basis.
