1. The furniture and mattresses were all brand new - my sister commented that the new furniture is not bed bug friendly, it's clear that they are making a concerted effort to avoid any problems.

3. A lot of New York hotels have been known for bed bugs in the last few years and knowing that everything in the Milford had been cleaned up and redone was a big selling point for us.

4. I had stayed at this hotel previously in August 2010, having paid 250$ a night (for an old dingy room that might have had bed bugs in my opinion), was not impressed at all.

5. The room was clean, there were no reports of bed bugs when I was there (a huge problem in NYC) and the towels & bedding were always fresh & crisp.

8. Yes, ok the room wasn't renovated, but it had a comfortable bed with no bed bugs, a tv, and a bathroom with a hot shower.

9. Milford looks and feels like a third world hotel, it is way over priced, and my first thought on seeing the room and laying on the bed was bed bugs.
