Just got back from a 4 nite stay at the Helmsley,this hotel is in the perfect location for New york,with central park right across the road,and times square a short walk away,the hotel lobby is clean and classy,felt like walking into New york in the 50,s which is not a bad thing,the room we had was dated but i felt it could have been a little cleaner,marks up the wall and stained carpet but don't let this put you off i,m fussy,Go for a drink at harry,s bar a great start to the nite or a nice end to a evening shuts around 12.
