3. How can a hotel in midtown a few blocks from Times Square not have double glazed windows? This was the worst part, we could here trucks and sirens all night, awful.

The rooms in the Hudson are good but the hotel didn't seem to be able to make up its mind whether it wanted to be a trendy night club or a place for people to stay, it was noisy and preeningly self-conscious, and, worst of all (and it was a few years ago so I've no idea if this has been changed now, but it put me off so much I would never stay there again) the en-suite bathroom is separated from the bedroom by *a sheet of glass*.
