1. Have been staying in the same hotel on my frequent visits to NYC for the past 17 years so felt strange and sad that I had to change this time as it was fully booked.

4. I have to sadly say that there is a hotel of this chain that do not deserve to be part of the magnificent Morgans hotel chain, and that is the Hudson, which needs an urgent remodeling as well the staff is not as helpful and friendly as all the other hotels.

7. The Royalton has emerged as our clear favorite - we all book it whenever our customer's corporate rate is available, and when that rate is not available, we are sad :(In comparison with other similarly-priced nearby hotels, the Royalton's advantages include:* Very spacious rooms, especially by neighborhood standards* Modern room decor * Outstanding bathroom - thick towels, powerful shower, European style shower controls* Big, comfortable bed and pillows - equal or better to Westin* Hip lobby - cool place to meet for a drinkIt wouldn't be a TripAdvisor review if I didn't indulge in a few nitpicks:* The only clock in the room is a tiny analog non-illuminated clock.

9. Rooms are comfortable although a bit sad as their dominant colour is a sort of dirty-gray.
