1. Gilt is an excellent Michelin Star Restaurant and the historic Gilt Bar is a place we never can avoid before and after dinner.

2. Only gripe - charging for the wifi - I usually avoid hotels that charge for wifi - this is something that hotels will need to address - guests just aren't going to put up with it.

4. Recommendations: If you want to see the most of NY and avoid arrogant taxi drivers waiting for the big tips buy MetroCard unlimited pass it costs 29 usd for 7 days unlimited travel and you will save up loads of dollars even if you don't stay 7 days.

6. avoid room service - get out of your room early and get breakfast -- or throw a jacket on in the morning and walk across 51st to the starbucks for coffee (it is right across the street) - and return to your room to shower, etc.
