1. Then they ask you for ID and credit card before they say 'hi welcome' or something a little friendly.

As a 5 star platinum owner and a platinum prefered guest for 11 years, my expections are very high, and we were not disappointed, from the moment we entered the lobby till we checked out 5 days later, We were upgraded and given an arrival gift and welcome letter, for frequent travellers as ourselves it is important to recognise loyality.

8. During our stay we regularly enjoyed using the club lounge and were always greeted by the staff with a 'good morning' or 'welcome back' breakfast was always tasty and enjoyed with a mug of Starbucks coffee.

9. And though there was a 'preferred guest reception' desk for Gold members, it was understaffed (the regular line was quicker on two occasions) and there was no big welcome.

10. If you can get past those welcoming barriers, the rooms are OK - well equipped but small - clean, and the room and lounge service are pretty good.
