Two very slow elevators, old rooms that are clean, but very outdated, terribly hard beds and awful pillows, and
unfriendly
staff (which to an extent can be expected in NYC), certainly dampen your experience.

The staff downstairs, with the exception of the nice doorman/bellhop, could not have been more
unfriendly
, uncaring, unwilling to help and one staff member in particular, I would describe as threatening.

Staff were un helpful and
unfriendly
and we never stayed for breakfast, but if you're there for the sightseeing and enjoying the city and just want a place to rest - this could be it.
