The wireless internet is a bit
pricey
($5 per 1/2 hr), but our room faced 57th St and we were able to pick up an open network from a hotel across the street - reliable & strong enough to check email & maps.

Around the corner from the Jekyll and Hyde restaurant-a neat theme restaurant, bit
pricey
but a lot of fun, especially if you have kids (if aren't easily freaked out by haunted-house type stuff).

There is a rooftop bar (enclosed as well as a patio) - very
pricey
($50 for 2 glasses of champagne) but we went there as a 'treat' to see if we would run into anyone.

Buffet continental breakfast (danish pastries, doughnuts, cereals, toast, ham, boiled eggs etc - a good choice if truth be told)at $4 per head is worth it, as other places close by are more
pricey
