2. I can also recommend the Brooklyn Diner which is on 57th street between 7th and 8th they do amazing breakfast, it is a little pricey but you get exacty what you pay for and it sets you off for the day.

4. 2010 prices: $28 per day, $38 for SUV or pick-up (pricey, but this is NYC), $8 for 1st half hour or less posted.

5. The wireless internet is a bit pricey ($5 per 1/2 hr), but our room faced 57th St and we were able to pick up an open network from a hotel across the street - reliable & strong enough to check email & maps.

6. Around the corner from the Jekyll and Hyde restaurant-a neat theme restaurant, bit pricey but a lot of fun, especially if you have kids (if aren't easily freaked out by haunted-house type stuff).

7. There is a rooftop bar (enclosed as well as a patio) - very pricey ($50 for 2 glasses of champagne) but we went there as a 'treat' to see if we would run into anyone.

9. Buffet continental breakfast (danish pastries, doughnuts, cereals, toast, ham, boiled eggs etc - a good choice if truth be told)at $4 per head is worth it, as other places close by are more pricey.
