Having stayed at this hotel many times we were

ed to find a construction site opposite the hotel where once a nice building had been.

when we first arrived, the staff were a little abrupt but we were warned of 'new york rudeness' so this didn't come as a GREAT

, but it wasn't exactly the nicest way to be greeted.

Having to pay for wireless internet was a bit of a
shock
too given every other hotel we had stayed in for the previous 6 weeks had this as complementary given it was after all 2010.

ed at how big the room was and very pleased that it had both a good sized fridge and microwave which was very handy for keeping drinks and fresh fruit in and for heating up food.
