Whereas the first room (we were later told it was a 'renovated room') had new Berber carpeting, down pillows, and new dark-wood furniture, the 'unrenovated' room had filthy stained carpeting, tired bamboo furniture which looked like it was from Pier 1 Imports, worn bedding with saggy mattresses, and a wall with a poorly-patched hole in it.
