1. A protected little bay for safe gentle bathing and then access out to rocks/reefs for snorkelling.

5. If you swim out of the bay out to some rocks that mark the beginning of the open ocean, you will see a variety of fish and several sea turtles that hang out there, seemingly oblivious to the parade of people above and around them.

6. What you will find: beautiful grounds, lots of turtles (we snorkeled with five), a large pool cut out of the lava rock (no cheezy fake facade) with a very cool sandy-bottom hot tub (one of two), lots of space to run, and great happy hour deals at the hotel's restaurants.
