It is very central, very colorful, with lots of people walking on the very busy
street
s giving you a feeling of safety and therefore I consider it the best area to be, although it is also quite dirty looking.

from Penn Station.

If you are there to visit New York and expect the hotel to be just a place to crash overnigt, the position is fabulous, right across the
street
from Madison Square Garden and minutes-walk to Macy's, Empire State Building and Times Square.
