1. Breakfast at Oscar's--a more everyday place--was quite nice, and again, the staff bringing coffee and orange juce were attentive and very pleasant.

8. We asked for an upgrade on reception (told to do so by friends; normally wouldn't have the nerve) and the man on reception, who was pleasant and courteous, upgraded our room to a lovely one, large by NY standards, and gave us some complimentary drinks vouchers to celebrate a birthday.

10. While the check-in process was very pleasant and my room size spacious, the rooms for our entire group were run down looking---carpets in need of cleaning and worst of all-- almost none of our heaters/air conditioners worked causing us to not sleep well due to the high temperature in our rooms.
