1. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully decorative - there was definitely the 'wow' factor for us as we entered the lobby for the first time.

5. It is a landmark in NYC and lived up to its historical prominence with its vast candelabras, marbled entrance hall, beautifully appointed rooms and excellent service throughout.

6. We received beautifully wrapped glycerin soaps that got really goopy but were never replace until we threw them away AND when you take a shower, the curtain blows into you and touches you- YUCK.

7. The Park Avenue entrance is beautifully decorated (we went for the New Year) with Christmas decor, large Christmas tree's placed around the famous piano Cole Porter would play and wonderful garlands place above each archway leading to various areas of the hotel.

8. On the positive side the lobby is breathtakingly beautifully and the Sunday morning hotel restaraunt brunch is outstandingly decandent (but you'll pay for it).
