3. Eat at the diner attached to the Wellington Hotel it is great value for money but I would avoid Planet Hollywood food was not very hot, but was very expensive.

4. I must have caught the corner of that shelf 3 times during my stay and I don't know if it was the wide open drapes (I finally gave up) or the 'bruised muscle memory' but I finally learned to avoid it.

5. Anyway to make it short here are the Goods and Bads:+ Good location+ Good bed (if you like it very firm, I do)- Staff is rude- Rooms are bleak and depressing- TV is from last centuryIn my future stay in NY I will avoid this hotel.

7. avoid Lindy`s for breakfast though, its expensive and not very good, there are better places on 6th if you fancy pancakes or eggs etc.

8. The location is perfect, employees are always nice, doormen are always there to greet you with a smile and grab a taxi for you, concierge is so very helpful and friendly, management is fantastic- we will definitely stay here again- now that we know what rooms to get and what rooms to avoid.

9. Another problem - the bath plug does not work properly - bath takes ages to even partially fill and then to avoid all water draining out, you need to bath very quickly.
