1. Other negatives: Even though my husband called the hotel and asked if they had robes and was told 'yes,' when we got there they said they no longer supplied them.
"Not a "destination" hotel; convenient at best. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/19/2012 Vote
2. The only potentially negative observation that I would make is that at peak times there was a significant wait for the lifts.
"Perfectly suitable " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/29/2012 Vote
3. The only negative points that I would consider is the air conditioning system which is very hard to control and the fact that the complimentary Wi-Fi is only accessible in the hotel lobby.
"Great location and great staff in NYC " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/23/2012 Vote
4. The only negatives I would give to this hotel is the price of the mini-bar (overpriced drinks and snacks - go to the Deli up the road which sells a lot more for a lot less), the fact that the bathroom didn't have a bath (which is useful after a days walking in NYC) and the roof-top bar was closed, which would have been a nice location to chill after a days sightseeing.
"Excellent room for the price " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/24/2012 Vote
5. The only negative I can report is that this hotel at times has difficulty regulating the temperature, Rooms are often very warm in the winter and very cool in the summer so make sure you get a room where you can open a window.
"Go to Hotel for business stays " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/16/2012 Vote
6. The negatives:(1) Because it is an old building, you can hear street noise and hall noise pretty easily.
"Great Value in Mid-town Manhattan! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/16/2012 Vote
7. The only quasi-negatives are basically beyond the control of operating management.
"Nice Choice for Good Value " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/9/2011 Vote
8. The only slight negatives I would mention are that the room had very little natural light and a kettle rather than coffee maker would have suited me better (but then I am British and need my cups of tea.
"Central but lovely & quiet " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/29/2011 Vote
9. If forced to say one negative thing .
"Almost afraid to post my excellent rating " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/8/2011 Vote
10. I am so glad I ignored the one or two negative reviews (BTW the elevators ARE quick and you'd have to be pretty lazy to object to the location as it's on Lexington and Grand Central Station is a short walk away).
"Absolutely great! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/17/2011 Vote
