5. Knowing you have uprooted and unhappy guests, why wouldn't getting their rooms prepared be a priority?Furthermore, while the hotel looks nice on the surface (clean common areas, nice decor) the actual accommodations were lacking.

7. If I compare the lack of attention to detail to previous hotel stays, this really isn't what I'd call a welcome.

Overall because a number of issues came up - we were disappointed with our stay: in particular the cleaniness of the bathroom was poor (for the first room which was allocated to us - so much so, had we not been so exhausted after a midnight check-in, we would have checked out); the necessity to move rooms during our stay and being told that the hotel's priority was to look after clients who were staying the summer (despite having booked a room earlier in the year); the lack of common sense with room service staff arriving to clean our room at 8am after we had only checked in at 1am.

9. One small disappointment was the lack of free wi-fi in rooms - you can buy this for about US$14/day.

10. The only (minor) downsides were that the lifts were a little slow and although the restaurant was good, the bar lacked any real atmosphere (and no draught beer).
