1. It was a full bottle of white or red (we chose white) and a full plate of different hard and soft cheeses with honey, fresh fruit and bread and crackers.

3. The grounds were clean but maintenance was an issue for simple things like handrails, elevators and signage-perhaps an indicator of how hard this hotel has been hit by the recession.

4. just past the tennis courts, a hiking trail leads across the street to miles of easy to hard hiking choices.

5. Because of the off-season, the resort was almost eerily quiet -- we hardly ever saw other guests, although I knew they were there because of other cars in the parking lots.
