There are plenty of good resturants within a 10 minute drive and if you are on foot, simply walk up to the carnival atmosphere of the Universal City Walk, which while somewhat overstimulating and full of tourists has some decent resturants and bars that are, if you can believe it, cheaper than at the Sheraton.
