1. Could you imagine sitting in a lobby, crying over a horrific bug infested room for your 10 year wedding anniversary? I’m not the type of person to cause a scene.

2. I hate to think of the repercussions if we had made our photos and the physical bug known to your guests in the lobby.

3. The local hardware store did not have the bug bomb recommended by the exterminator at the stores, and since spread of these eggs can be through luggage, we took no chances and threw away our luggage.

4. He showed us how to inspect a room for bugs, and proceeded on inspecting our new room, pulling back curtains and taking apart the bed.

5. Much like the fabric on the box spring, mattress, or even under couches, and he then flipped over the ottoman … the one we were sitting on in early morning hours trying to avoid the bugs.

6. He then told us that our suitcase should be put in a plastic bag, and we needed to purchase a special bug bomb to put in the plastic bag with the suitcase, to prevent spread through our luggage.

7. Also note if everything in the room had to be thrown out due to bug infestation, how could our luggage, which had been in the room for a full 36 hours, not contaminate the new room we were given? By moving us to the new room, the hotel put themselves at risk for yet another room to be “infested” with bed bugs.

8. We were left alone in a room that was torn apart to inspect for more bugs, we were next door to an “infested” room, and we also had clothing and luggage that probably contained eggs.

9. It is not in your control to prevent all bugs from entering your hotel.

10. There were also strange bites on my own legs and arms (photo 4) that I believe were caused by the bugs that had infested our bed at your hotel.
