1. I hate to give this hotel bad marks, BUT the bathroom design was one of the worst I've ever experienced.

4. The property sits on the cusp of the really bad part of San Francisco (The Tenderloin), and feels unsafe as soon as dusk hits.

5. Pluses*large room *comfortable bed*quiet with windows closed* free wireless internet and $10 free minibar with Kimpton In-Touch membership *aveda products * restaurant downstairs Minuses *extensive (wall to wall) mildew in the bathroom above the towels* not the safest area at night but not the worst either (the Hilton is across the street but so are various motels and massage parlors) *customer service varies from excellent to indifferent depending on the individual *overpriced room service: inflated prices (compared to the restaurant's menu downstairs) + $3 service fee + mandatory 20% gratuity Note: I noticed the bad mildew problem in the bathroom in the morning and notified the Front Desk Clerk at checkout.

10. I must say the location and rooms weren't that bad but since travelers place so much trust in the hotels that host us all, if this is the way that this Kimpton hotel treats its guests, then I wouldn't stay here.
