Yes, it's New York, but these rooms are uncomfortably small, even for New York, and a bit cheap and
sad
looking.

It had a big comfy bed, the only downside was that the linen looked a bit
sad
and a few threads were loose, but it was really clean, no bed bugs.

sadly
the weather was terrible and we were sorry we had vacated our rooms so early but nevertheless we did manage a bus tour and breakfast in Times Square before we returned to collect our luggage.

Our room was on the 28th floor,
sadly
no view of the Empire State as we were on the other side of the building.

The breakfast is not bad: made-to-order omelet with meats, cheese, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms; sausages, potatoes as well as pasties, fruits, but
sadly
no berries.

/ Empire State Bldg area - I know because I've tried them all, from the Hotel Penn to the Affinia - most are old and in
sad
need of repair, but the Hilton Garden Inn is brand new, extremely clean, and the rooms are enormous - most with great views of NYC (at least on upper floors).
"Biggest rooms I've ever seen in NYC! Clean, sparking new, friendly! "

sadly
, NY has become a kind of tourist trap, and they try to make as much money as they can with everything, including 9/11 stuffs, which is unbelievable.

My son burned his hand on the steam table at the breakfast buffet (actually, the steam just hurt a previous booboo on his thumb) and the staff was falling all over themselves to make him feel betterout of genuine concern for my
sad
little boy.
"A crucial element of a spectacular trip to NY! "
