1. Yes, it's New York, but these rooms are uncomfortably small, even for New York, and a bit cheap and sad looking.

2. It had a big comfy bed, the only downside was that the linen looked a bit sad and a few threads were loose, but it was really clean, no bed bugs.

5. The breakfast is not bad: made-to-order omelet with meats, cheese, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms; sausages, potatoes as well as pasties, fruits, but sadly no berries.

6. / Empire State Bldg area - I know because I've tried them all, from the Hotel Penn to the Affinia - most are old and in sad need of repair, but the Hilton Garden Inn is brand new, extremely clean, and the rooms are enormous - most with great views of NYC (at least on upper floors).
"Biggest rooms I've ever seen in NYC! Clean, sparking new, friendly! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/12/2010 Vote
7. sadly, NY has become a kind of tourist trap, and they try to make as much money as they can with everything, including 9/11 stuffs, which is unbelievable.
"Good position - Very small rooms - Expensive " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/9/2010 Vote

9. My son burned his hand on the steam table at the breakfast buffet (actually, the steam just hurt a previous booboo on his thumb) and the staff was falling all over themselves to make him feel betterout of genuine concern for my sad little boy.
"A crucial element of a spectacular trip to NY! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/6/2010 Vote
