1. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast buffet was quite good (if a bit pricey, but what isn't in New York).

2. We can't comment on the restaurant at the hotel as we ate out or brought take-away back to the hotel, it looked nice but was a little on the pricey side for us.

3. Our stay overlapped Fashion Week and hotel was at full occupancy, so rates were a little pricey, but compared to other NYC hotels, HGI ended up being an excellent value combination.

4. Just a short walk from the hotel there is a Irish pub called The Playwright, that served the best steak my husband has ever had (trust me he has had a lot and is not easy to please) a little pricey at 17 bucks, but came with a baked potato and grilled veggies.
