1. The staff was fine and the elevators were swift, but this is very much a cut below a normal Hilton and to be honest, not a very good value given the so-so location, lack of amenities and room size.

4. Although I'm giving the hotel 5 stars for the overall experience, I do have a few nitpicks--the lack of a nightlight in the bathroom (I hate having to turn on the bright bathroom light in the middle of the night), the design of the soap tray in the shower (it wasn't solid so the travel-size toiletries kept falling through the slots to the shower floor), and the very hot air that came out of the heater when the thermostat was set higher than 66.

7. I knew this when booking, but the only thing I thought was lacking for a hotel of this type was an in-room safe (they're pretty standard these days) - even if they do provide safety deposit boxes at reception.
