We never encountered any of the famous NY
rude
ness - apart from our first trip on the subway when me and my husband didnt move out of the doorway of the train quick enough for people getting off and a woman called us jerks.

this hotel kept charging my card for the room before we checked out without even asking us if this was the account we wanted to use, they took over 4000 dollars for a room costing $2000 and the staff were
rude
and poorly trained when i tried to sort this out with them.
"very strange billing system "

And the price did not come with nasty catches, like an awful room or
rude
staff - our room was comfortable, clean, with a lovely bed and excellent recently renovated bathroom.
"Perfect location, lovely room, AMAZING price!! "

Kevin was also
rude
when I called down to ask where we could purchase Subway tickets - he said he couldn't tell me over the phone - that I would have to come down to the front desk to get the answer.
"Adequate room, adequate location, not much service. "
