1. The friendly desk staff urged us to delay check-in so they could finish preparing a room on the corner of the 15th floor with a really nice view of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings and other Midtown landmarks.

3. Not a huge deal but I was puzzled when, on check-out day after receiving notice that my flight was delayed, I was only granted a one hour extension when I requested a late check-out.

4. The first cabbie had trouble finding the hotel, but others had no issues, the only worry was peak hour traffic for people leaving the city caused cab delays getting back to the hotel on a couple of occasions as the entrance to the highway is the street of the hotel.
