3. I went back to the front desk and franciene (sorry if i spelled it wrong) changed our room to the fifth floor on the pool side, she was so helpful and wonderful after 5 days of chaos in waikiki.

4. The grounds are still beautiful, though the pool is on the wrong side of the building so it doesn't get much sun to warm it up.

9. Yes, it is a bit of an older property, and some might say the rooms could use some updating, but in my opinion they're fine (nothing wrong with a bit of Hawaiian kitsch).

10. If you are looking for a large white sand beach (you are probably on the wrong island to begin with) or a destination resort with large pools and cabana boys bringing you fruity drinks all day then this is not the place for you.
