1. I suspect that the laid back islander mannerisms may be seen as indifference or rudeness to some mainlanders.

7. iIfound the restaurant staff a little variable, but the staff ranged from really nice, friendly and helful to at worst ( only occasionally) iindifferent, not at all rude or unsmiling, just forgetting to give us fresh hot coffee, until asked.
