1. Parking is extremely expensive for anywhere outside NYC (but the parking staff was efficient and nice).

2. In my opinion at $500 dollars a night is probably the biggest ripoff in town that is unless you are an aspirational nobody who feels important because there are a bunch of expensive cars parked in your hotel and three yachts in the dock that somebody who can't afford them is trying to sell.

4. I was a bit overwhelmed at first by the expensive cars and scantily clad club goers, but checking in was actually very fast and I had a room overlooking the pool on the 23rd floor.

We are frequent travelers and stay in a lot of hotels all over the world, and there are a lot of times when the reviews on TripAdvisor, particularly for expensive hotels, are considerably overhyped in our opinion, but we'd stayed in Kimpton hotels before and had very good experiences, so we were cautiously optimistic.

10. As per a previous review the valet parking is quick and simple, and although I did think it was expensive I soon learned from the other hotels we stayed at on our tour that actually it was reasonable.
