1. downside of this particular suite was the noise, we were over the Mai Tai bar, therefore shared the entertainment every night till 10.
"Historic beauty " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/7/2012 Vote
2. That was the only downside to the 3 night stay.
"a great hotel with excellent service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/22/2011 Vote
3. The reserving of sun loungers by people early in the day (who don't turn up) and the fact these are then unavailable to others is the only downside.
"Had a great stay here, very impressed " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/31/2011 Vote
4. But there's a downside to this - by 9am it gets crowded and mostly sure no chairs left.
"Loved the hotel... not some of the little things here and there... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/30/2011 Vote
5. The other downside is there are not enough umbrellas so you either need to fry in the sun or just don't bother.
"Not quiet what I was expecting " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/20/2011 Vote
6. Restaurants are very close and if you have to line up for the cheesecake factory just get the buzzer and take it back to your room as it still works on the premises of the royal so no lining up and just sitting waiting for a table Also ruths steak house not far and if like chinese PF Changs which are always good Best time to travel would be April/May or late Aug/Sept I have been to hawaii many times in March it is a little fresh to say the least so I wouldnt recommend that OCT/Nov is more like a wet season so keep away then as it dec/janOnly downside no free INTERNET???.
"PERFECT " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/24/2011 Vote
7. Food breakfast was also perfect, there is a new gym the only facility it doesnt have is a laundry so have to go next door to the outrigger for that so thats properly only downside all rooms have a beautiful view outlook.
"PERFECT " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/24/2011 Vote
8. The only downside is the pool is too small.
"beautiful hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/28/2010 Vote
9. The only downside to our visit was the resort fee which is nothing more than an underhanded way for the hotel to make their room rates seem $20 lower than they actually are.
"Charming Old Hotel, But Resort Fee Left a Bad Taste " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/1/2010 Vote
10. The staff is very nice and the location and history a plus, but the downside of an old hotel is small rooms, small closets, tiny bathrooms, and few modern amenities (small fitness room, no game room, and a pool the size of a hot tub, literally) compared to other, more modern hotels.
"Small rooms and few amenities " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/11/2010 Vote
