1. Julie at the Concierge desk was outstanding, when she heard that I was heading for Bloomingdales she gave me a gift pack that contained vouchers and offers for the store.

While the concierge was exceptionally helpful and assisted with a number of dinner reservations, every time we inquired about the use of the hotel's car (which we were told would take us anywhere in a 15-20 block radius) we were always told the car was busy, no matter how many hours ahead we asked and even when the car was sitting outside when we went to hail a taxi.

5. Overall the staff were great, concierge very good and suggesting restaurants and the hotel town car, although not the Roller I was expecting after reading other reviews was very handy.

The champagne bar is fun for cocktails but closes fairly early leaving only the Rose bar which is a dark, strange place with the feel of maybe and old New Orleans bordello (or what I would imagine one would look like!) The concierge was charming and solicitous and the bell staff friendly and personable - every one of them.
