2. The room was shabby, old stained carpeting, street noise at the 12th floor, the carpet was rarely vacuumed, the bathroom was as big as a normal sized closet.

5. When I walked into the room it was tiny, then there was a huge stain on the carpet, then the pull down window shade wouldn't stay down (it would only stay down after I piled up the phone books with the bible with the iron placed on the pull down shade), then the pipes in the bathroom made noise constantly even if I wasn't in there with water running, then the shower head would shoot water everywhere, then the the air conditioner (whether it was on or off) every once in a while would sound like a mechanical cat barfing, then to top it off during the middle of the night when i had the air conditioner on it would go from working fine to pumping out HOT air.

6. An unbearable continuous humming, more like loud subway exhaust air noise, that could be heard even through earplugs :D (and it was worse at night when less traffic and the TV was off).

8. Being on the 15th floor we were away from most of the traffic noise, ok you get some and the air conditioning can be noisy but hey, this is the city that never sleeps, right?The staff were polite and helpful thoroughout our stay.

9. The extreme noise was *not* from the street and *not* from the A/C unit in the room because we did not use it.

10. In 2010 stayed in a suite and had absoutely no noise at all.
