I didn't mind because the housekeeper gave me plenty of
bath
towels and I used that to clean up the water.

3 mins walk from 7th Ave E train (for quick connection to the AirTrain to JKF airport - 1hr and for $7.25 each it's a bargain if you're not travelling with children/lots of luggage)- Plenty of affordable 24hr delis and diners (thoroughly recommend Applejack Diner on corner of 55th St & Broadway, also Steak & Shake a few doors down - 5 mins walk from hotel)- Clean (apart from cockroach in
bath
) and decent size standard double room with flatscreen TV- Emailed prior to arrival asking for high floor with view.

With the exception of the
bath
s which have been redone , the rooms photograph a lot better than they really are but they were very clean and comfortable, and ultimately to be able to afford a clean and comfortable room in such a centrally located area is more important to us than a luxury room that you use for such a limited amount of time.

It was extremely quiet, with a beautiful marble
bath
, terrific water pressure, a clean, quiet suite with bedroom, living room, and kitchenette with fridge, sink, and microwave.

Nevertheless, as a place to sleep,
bath
e and store your stuff in New York, the Wellington can be okay.

The rooms are dated, I was in a very large 2 x double bedrooms, although not very bright, phone not working in one and light not working in the other, the
bath
room was spotless, with a large
bath
and shower.
