1. The next day, thanks to the manager, we were moved to a room which was better than the one we had actually booked and he did what he could to ensure we were happy.

I then asked to speak to the Duty Manager who gave me the same line about the hotel being full, offerd us a free breakfast the following morning and suggested that someone from housekeeping would come to change the sheets although he didn't really think that there was a problem as 'we don't iron our sheets'.

8. The double bed was only 4 foot wide for two people and when I said it was not a standard double the manager told me 'mt mother and father have slept in a bed that size for over 50 years'.
