1. Seven years after Katrina you could still smell that musty odor of standing water on the carpets for an extended period of time leaves behind.

2. Also - a room a few doors down from us had ordered room service at approx 3pm one day and by 3 or 4pm the next day the tray still hadn't been moved from the hallway - leaving a foul smell in the hallway from leftovers.

7. But, I didn't view it as something annoying, just scary and could happen anywhere, I WAS thankful they let us know all was well or I would have been sitting up all night thinking I smelled smoke:) Location, staff and cleanliness were all excellent.

8. It was clean, didn't smell, all electronics worked, was larger, had a full sized closet with mirror on the door, some additional amenities my first room didn't have, etc.

9. There was sugar or some white substance all over the desk, the floor throughout the room was sticky and immediately turned my feet black, the bathroom was not clean, my alarm clock was broken, the in-room blow dryer was broken, the entire room smelled and felt really musty, and the closet was tiny with no mirror on the door.
