1. Just be sure to ask for a high floor to avoid street noise ( sometimes musicians play right in front of the hotel).

5. There is a Dickie Brennan restaurant on site (The Bourbon House) and it served the best oysters I've eaten in 20 years, a nice place, still not sure why the lobby bar closed so early, though (probably to avoid the inevitable drunken walk-ins after 11:00).

6. If you avoid the Bourbon Street side or if you stay on a high floor, which we did, you will not have any noise from Bourbon Street (and that is a must).
