I felt like I was staying in a fleabag hotel; long lines at the desk,
slow
service in the bar and the place was filthy.

The elevators are
slow
and the lobby while pretty large is not the kind of old hotel lobby where you can sit in an easy chair and strike up a conversation with a fellow guest.

the elevators are
slow
and heaven forbid you are on the opposite end of the hallway - pulling luggage along the heavy carpeted floor can be a pain.

We didn`t dine at the hotel, although we heard firsthand that there was one restaurant that was very
slow
in service (main course took 2 hours).

Normally, I enjoy old hotels and am patient with some of the challenges such as tiny rooms, smaller bathrooms,
slow
elevators (elevators here are fast).

People complained about the elevators being
slow
, but again this is a large 1920s hotel, so it is to be expected.

If I had to complain, the elevators were a bit
slow
, we had to evacuate on our last night due to a fire alarm going off, and housekeeping did not refill our towels or amenities one day.
