1. In both cases the food was ok, but the service was slow and strange - like the servers were in a daze or something.

Breakfast staff were a bit slow and seemed like they didn't know what they were doing and concierge, although very polite, missed the fact that there was a major fashion event (fashion night out) being held at Newbury street (next to hotel) even though I specifically events if any events were happening that weekend.

4. The lift looked original and was kinda slow to come, but really quiet - our room was next door to it and we couldn't hear it at all.

5. Can I find a complaint? Well this is an old hotel and the lift service is a tad slow, but well compensated by that friendly Boston welcome and service.

6. My room on the 11th floor was rather dark and cheerless and wifi connection was slow but the rest of the hotel was lovely, though it would benefit from some more communal lounge area.

9. The staff, although friendly, were a little slow in recognising that people needed serving - more interested in chatting to each other - and we had to ,ake a point of putting our coats on so that we could pay.
