We were surprised there was no fridge in the room, which was a bit of an inconvenience, firstly because we got a complimentary bottle of wine from the staff and had no way to keep it cold, and secondly because we got a birthday package that included a cake, and there was no way to keep that fresh, either.

3. The staff are very helpful and are full of amusing wise-cracks that help break the ice and add to the enjoyment and informality :)In terms of location the hotel is away from the main tourist areas (Union Square/Fishermans Wharf) but not so far as to be totally inconvenient.

7. \nWe changed rooms and while we were moving, a personal item was taken from the lobby and the staff did not seen to care; no accomodation was made for the inconvenience/safety concern about the lock or the stolen personal item from the lobby while we changed rooms.
